Mahajan, Philomina triumph

VISAKHAPATNAM: Vivek Mahajan of West Zone and K.P. Philomina of South Zone won the men and women’s titles respectively in the all-India Airports Authority of India table tennis championships at the Port indoor Stadium here on Friday.

West and South won the men and women team championships respectively earlier.

The placings (league): 1. Vivek Mahajan (West, seven wins), 2. Yogesh Nagaich (West, 6), 3. R. Vetrivel (South, 5). Women: 1. K.P. Philomina (8 wins), 2. L. Rajam (7), 3. R. Hemavathy (6). — Special Correspondent
