Sushil shines

CHENNAI: V. Sushil struck an unbeaten half-century to guide Guru Nanak to a two-wicket win in the quarterfinals of the Padma Shri Mohanmullji Chordia Gold Cup Twenty20 cricket tournament here on Friday.

The scores: Quarterfinals: Mar Gregorios 56 in 12.2 overs (K. Vinoth Kumar four for three) lost to AM Jain College 58 for no loss in 4.2 overs; DRBCC Hindu College 94 for nine in 20 overs lost to RKM Vivekananda College 95 for three in 15.3 overs (R.M. Karthik 43); Pachaiyappa’s 136 for six in 13 overs (Agnal David 56) bt New College 54 for eight in 13 overs; Sindhi College 106 for six in 20 overs lost to Guru Nanak 107 for eight in 19.3 overs (V. Sushil 51 not out).
