Id-ul-Adha celebrated in Tiruchi district

CONGREGATION: Muslims offering prayer in Tiruchi on Friday.

TIRUCHI: Id-ul-Adha the festival of sacrifice, was celebrated with gaiety in Tiruchi, Pudukottai and Perambalur districts on Friday.

Special prayers were held to mark the celebrations in which a large number of people participated. Khutba prayers were held at mosques.

A large congregation of Muslims offered prayers at the Idgah maidan in Cantonment in Tiruchi. People offered prayers at the Palakkarai N.M. Panch Minar mosque, Fort Idgah maidan, Hazrath Natharvali Dargah mosque, N.S.B. Road, Hassan Bagh mosque, Turup mosque, Chowk big mosque and Jamal Mohamed College mosque.

Special ‘duas’ were recited for world peace.
