TIRUCHI: Transport Minister K.N. Nehru on Friday handed over a cheque for Rs.1 lakh, sanctioned from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, to the father of 13-year-old Siva, who was drowned in a pond at Nagamangalam during the recent spell of heavy rain. Mr. Nehru handed over the cheque to the boy’s father, Rajendran, father of the boy who was studying standard VII. Earlier, Collector Ashish Vachhani said relief for families whose huts were damaged was being distributed and the process would be completed within the next couple of days.
