Two elephants electrocuted

CHAMARAJANAGAR: Two male elephants were electrocuted at Arepalya village in Kollegal taluk on Thursday night. The carcasses were found near a farm belonging to Kappanna of the village. The elephants died when they brushed against an illegally electrified fence put up to protect crops.

Forest Department officials visited the spot. The landowner had left the place by then. A case has been registered.
