Actor among ‘suspects’

KOLKATA: One of the seven persons suspected to have links with the Manipur-based People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) is a well-known film actor of Manipur.

This was revealed during the course of interrogations.

“Twentythree-year-old Ms. Manda is a well-known film actor who has been working in Manipur,” a Defence spokesman told The Hindu on Friday. They were arrested during a raid on Thursday morning. A police team from Manipur is expected to arrive and will seek transit remand so that the arrested can be taken back, the spokesman added.
