‘Vastra Vaibhava’ in Bellary

BELLARY: “Vastra Vaibhava”, a week-long exhibition-cum-sale of handloom products, was inaugurated by Pushparekha, president of the zilla panchayat, at the Mary Matha Church compound in the city on Saturday.
The exhibition is organised jointly by the Ministry of Textile, the Government of India, the Handloom and Textile Department and the Bellary Zilla Panchayat, in view of Christmas celebrations.
The exhibition aims at showcasing various handloom products of the State and also helping the weavers to market their products. It would be open till December 28.
The handloom products on display range from colourful silk saris from Rampur and Molakalmuru of Chitradurga district to woollen carpets from Bijapur district.
