RDX recovered in Punjab

Ludhiana: The police on Saturday recovered 330 grams of RDX, sufficient to blow up a big mall, from an agriculture field near Mullanpur, 15 km from here.

The explosive was recovered at the instance of Gurinder Singh, a Shingar cinema blast suspect. The police brought him from Phagwara for questioning, where he was arrested recently. The recovered RDX was hidden in a drainage, the police said.

Director General of Punjab Police N. P. S. Aulakh, who was in Phillaur on Saturday, claimed the Shingar cinema blast case would be solved soon.

Six persons were killed in the blast. — PTI
