New Delhi: Ten students, aged 6 to 10 years, were injured at Keshav Puram here on Saturday when a car hit their cycle-rickshaw from behind. The condition of two of the injured – Dipesh (9) and Manisha (6) – is said to be critical. Both have been admitted to Sunderlal Jain Hospital.
The accident took place around 12-30 p.m. when the rickshaw was hit by a Maruti car near Keshav Puram Metro station. The students, all residents of slum clusters at Wazirpur, were returning from school. They were taken to Sunderlal Jain hospital where three were discharged after first aid. The car was being driven by Preeti Jaswani who has been arrested.
