BANGALORE: Bishop Cotton boys and girls triumphed in the Glucovita inter-school tennis tournament at the KSLYA courts here on Sunday. Bishop Cotton boys downed Sri Kumaran’s Public School 2-1 in the final, while Cotton girls won over Sri Kumaran’s Children’s Home 2-0 in the title clash. In the Open events, B.S. Rahul of Aurobindo Memorial scored a 6-4, 6-2 win over Anurag Sipani of NPS for the boys under-13 title, while Shruthi Ashok (Kumaran’s Children’s Home) proved too good for Tarini Chandramouli (Vidyashilp) 6-4, 6-3 in the corresponding girls final. The results (All finals): Team events: Boys (U-16): Bishop Cotton bt Sri Kumaran’s Public School 2-1 (Rashien Samuel bt Sumukha Karanth 6-2, 6-0; Asaad Jaffer lost to Varun Sathyanarayan 7-6, 2-6, 6-2; Rashien / Asaad bt Sumukha / Varun 6-3, 6-2). BMS Law posts winBMS Law won by five runs over KLE in the qualifying round match of the Vie 08 cricket tournament organised by SBMJC as part of the all-India inter-collegiate Sports fest at the Central College ground here on Sunday.
