Gagan in semifinals

KOLKATA: Gagan Verma ousted fourth seed Tarun Gogale 4 & 3 to reach the semifinals of the Goodricke Eastern India amateur tournament here on Sunday. Verma will clash with top seed Abhishek Jha who beat Vikram Rana 4 & 3.

In other quarterfinal matchups, Jasjeet Singh defeated Md. Dulal Hussain from Bangladesh 6 & 5 while Sri Lankan Mithun Perera won 4 & 3 against Samresh Sardar.
