Body of kidnapped NALCO employee found

Angul (Orissa): The body of a NALCO employee, allegedly kidnapped for ransom by unidentified persons, was found near here, the police said.

Krishan Dehury (20), a junior operator in the Alumina major, was going to the plant site, about 5 km from his village Kukudanga under Angul police station area, on Friday night when he was kidnapped, they said.

His body was found in a field with sharp injury marks.

The kidnappers had demanded Rs.10 lakh ransom to release Dehury, the police said quoting the complaint lodged by his parents. Investigation into the matter was on, the police said. — PTI
