Letters to the Editor
Over a month after the Bangladeshi writer, Taslima Nasreen, was forced to leave Kolkata, the Central Government has reportedly told her that she can either continue to stay in Delhi or leave the country (Dec. 21). What type of decision is this? Is this the way to treat a guest? Taslima’s writings have always reflected the truth. She has raised her voice against what she feels is wrong. If she gives up writing, it will be a big loss to us. It is unfortunate that the Indian government is keen on letting her stay on. Sikander Khan, New Delhi G. Chandrasekaran, Udumalpet
