Kidnapped NALCO staffer found dead

Angul: The body of a NALCO employee, allegedly kidnapped for ransom by unidentified persons, was found near here on Sunday, police said.

Krishan Dehury (20), a junior operator in the Alumina major was proceeding to the plant site, about 5 km from his village Kukudanga under Angul police station area on December 21 night when he was kidnapped, they said.

His body was found from a field in the area with sharp injury marks, they said

The kidnappers had demanded Rs.10-lakh ransom to release Dehury, police said quoting the complaint lodged by his parents. Investigation into the matter was on, police said. PTI
