JCT defeats Sporting Clube

Ludhiana: JCT defeated Sporting Clube De Goa 4-2 in a seventh round I-League football match at the Guru Nanak Stadium here on Sunday.

The score was 3-1 in favour of JCT at half-time.

JCT’s forward Edu Rdo Da Silva opened the account for in the second minute, while Baldeep Singh Jr. followed it up with a goal in the seventh minute. Baldeep Sr. made it 3-0 in the 18th minute.

Denzil Franco reduced the margin two minutes later, while Da Silva scored in the 47th minute. Lawrence Adjei added to the Sporting Clube’s tally in the 52nd minute.

JCT now has 15 points, while Sporting Clube has three. — PTI
