Charan Singh remembered

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday led the nation in paying tribute to former Prime Minister Charan Singh on his 105th birth anniversary.

The Prime Minister, Leader of Opposition L K Advani, Union Minister Suresh Pachauri, Charan Singh’s son and RLD chief Ajit Singh and parliamentarians paid floral tributes at the ‘Kisan Ghat’. A function was also organised in Parliament. A booklet on the life and work of Chaudhary Charan Singh was also presented to the dignitaries.

Followers of Chaudhary Charan Singh organised an ’ygnya’ at ’Kisan Ghat’.
