dated December 25, 1957: Industries in Kerala

Mr. A.K. Gopalan, Deputy Leader of the Communist Opposition in the Lok Sabha, said in Ernakulam on December 21 that both the ruling Communist Party and the Opposition parties in Kerala should, irrespective of their political differences, join together and set upon the task of creating a climate which would ensure industrial peace in the State and attract capital from within and without, to develop industries in order to alleviate the acute unemployment.

Mr. Gopalan, in a statement, said that if the Opposition parties were to take any step or adopt any attitude out of political prejudices, it would only result in the sufferings to the people and the State, as a whole, no matter who was in power.
