‘Congress meetings to motivate cadre’

Kakinada: District Congress Committee (DCC) president and Jaggampet MLA Thota Venkata Narasimham said that the Congress was holding meetings in all Assembly constituencies to motivate the cadre to prepare for future tasks. The MLAs and party workers were explaining the welfare schemes being implemented by the Central and State Governments to people to put things in right perspective amidst criticism by Opposition parties.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he said the party’s foundation day celebrations on December 28 would be used as an opportunity to rededicate to people’s welfare. A blood donation camp would be organised in association with the Indian Red Cross Society. The party leaders and cadres would discuss the future course of action.

Mr. Narasimham said the Chief Minister had enhanced the party’s prestige by introducing schemes like Rajiv Arogyasri.
