Teachers stage dharna

CHITTOOR: AP Teachers Federation, district unit members led by its president Govindaiah and general secretary Chengalraya Mandadi staged a dharna before the Collectorate here on Monday in protest against the Government indifferent attitude in solving their charter of 17 demands. Their demands included old pension rules were to be followed for the teachers selected in the year 2002-03, medical facilities were to be provided to the teachers working in municipal and aided schools. They presented a memorandum to the joint collector Rajendra Prasad. -Correspondent
