MCD House meeting adjourned

NEW DELHI: The MCD House meeting was adjourned on Monday following loud protests by Congress councillors demanding an explanation from the Commissioner why only 15 per cent of the civic body’s funds were allocated for purchase of items at pre-fixed rates.

Opposition leader J. K. Sharma said unless 100 per cent funds were allocated for making purchases at approved rates, development work would remain dogged by long-drawn tendering processes.
