NEW DELHI: N. Ravichandran, President (Operations), Lucas-TVS, was on Monday conferred the Indian Society for Quality (ISQ)’s Ashoka Award for the year 2007 for “Outstanding practices in the field of quality management” at a function held here. An eminent engineer, Dr. Ravichandran has done his MBA, Ph. D and also PG Diploma in quality management, besides being trained in manufacturing at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, and at Asian Productivity Organisation (Japan/Korea). Faculty memberHe has over three decades of experience in Lucas-TVS and is also a visiting faculty member at various IIMs and IITs and in advisory committees of several leading institutions. He has also bagged many awards, including Udyog Ratna Award, Lifetime Achievement Award of Design & Research Conference, and Indo-Japan ABK-AOTS Distinguished Leadership Award for Quality and Productivity.
