Protest in Chamrajanagar

CHAMARAJANAGAR: Members of the Akhila Bharatha Veerashaiva Mahasabha (ABVMS) led by its district president K.S. Nagarajappa took out a procession here on Monday in protest against former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s “unruly” behaviour during the Youth Congress convention in Mysore on Sunday. The procession began from Siddamalleshwara Veeraktha Math and reached the Bhuvaneshwara Circle, where the protestors burned the effigy of Siddaramaiah. Holding the “mahasabhas banner”, they raised slogans against Siddaramaiah and some other Congress members for having vested interest to curb the position of former Minister Mahadev and its followers in the Congress. A peaceful bandh was observed at Santhemaralli hobli.
