Huge haul of Maoist weapons unearthed

MAHABUBNAGAR: Amrabad police in the district recovered a huge haul of weapons and ammunition by unearthing a big dump of CPI (Maoists) near Vankeshvaram village in Nallamala forest on Monday.
In yet another blow to the CPI Maoists, police recovered three hand grenades, 28 rounds of tapancha, 30 rounds of .303 riffle, 130 rounds of 8 mm riffle, two numbers of rocket launcher stands and other material.
As per information provided by surrendered Maoists, a police team led by Amrabad circle inspector Ravi unearthed the dump near Anjaneya Swamy temple at Vankeshvaram village on Monday morning, the police said.
