Passport adalat held in city

ENQUIRY: Regional Passport Officer S. Balachandran inspecting the filing of applications in Tiruchi on Monday.

TIRUCHI: A passport adalat was conducted at the Regional Passport Office here on Monday for the benefit of applicants yet to receive the passports.

A total of 700 applicants from 16 districts attended the day-long programme, during which officials conducted enquiry. Original documents of certain applicants were verified as part of the enquiry.

Wherever the documentation is clear, passports will be dispatched in a week’s time, Regional Passport Officer S. Balachandran said.
