Homage paid to Periyar, MGR

TIRUCHI: Cadres of political parties paid homage to the former Chief Minister and AIADMK founder M.G. Ramachandran on his death anniversary on Monday.

AIADMK members, led by party city secretary Murugaiyan, garlanded the statue of MGR here. Cadres of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Akila Indhiya Samathuva Makkal Katchi also garlanded the statue of the late leader.

Political parties also paid homage to Dravidar Kazhagam leader ‘Periyar’ E.V. Ramasamy on his death anniversary on Monday.

Cadres of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, led by Deputy Mayor M. Anbazhagan, garlanded the statue of Periyar at Central bus stand here. Members of the Dravidar Kazhagam also garlanded the statue.
