BANGALORE: Road accidents claimed three lives in the city on Sunday night. A 21-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run case reported from Hosur Road in Madiwala police station limits. The Madiwala traffic police said that around 11 p.m. they received a message that the body of a young man was lying on Hosur Road near Singasandra. Policemen who rushed to the spot found that a vehicle had run over his head. He was identified as Naveen, a resident of Channakeshavanagar on Hosur Road. Naveen, who had passes his SSLC, was unemployed, the police said. According to the police, some residents of the area suspected that Naveen could have been murdered as he was seen quarrelling with a few people at the accident spot earlier. However, the police said it was a case of hit-and-run. The Madiwala traffic police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the vehicle. In another incident, Thippanna (48), a labourer, was killed on the spot after he was hit by a car.
