3% of deposit amount to be disbursed

CHENNAI: The Official Liquidator (OL) is taking steps to disburse three per cent of the deposit amount to depositors of the Royapettah Benefit Fund (RBF) Ltd. by way of crossed cheques.

This follows a High Court direction to company authorities on December 17 on an application.

In this case, 25 per cent of the deposit amount has so far been disbursed to depositors. The last disbursement was in January 2006, according to Additional Director-General of Police, Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Archana Ramasundaram.

The Economic Offences Wing has requested RBF depositors to contact the office of the OL, Kuralagam, Chennai-104 if they do not receive payment of three per cent of the deposit amount sanctioned before January 2008.

Change of address

Depositors may also intimate change of address, if any, to the office of the Official Liquidator immediately.
