Workshop yet to be held
Staff Reporter
Bangalore: The Department of Kannada and Culture is yet to organise the workshop on safety measures to be initiated in case of emergencies, following the minor fire at Nayana auditorium in Kannada Bhavan here on Sunday.
Sreenivasa G. Kappanna, Chairman of the Karnataka Nataka Academy, told The Hindu that the workshop would be organised only after I.M. Vittalamurthy, Secretary, Department of Kannada and Culture, returned to the city from his tour.
On Sunday, at the inaugural programme of the Karnataka Rajya Vruthinirata Patrakartara Sangha, the curtain at the auditorium caught fire, apparently ignited by an over-heated light filter.
