Lok Abhiyan to celebrate Vajpayee’s birthday today

NEW DELHI: On the occasion of the 84th birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Tuesday, Lok Abhiyan is organising a function at FICCI auditorium here which will be attended among others by former Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Leader of the Opposition L. K. Advani and BJP president Rajnath Singh.
Former Union Minister Vijay Goel said on Monday that programmes would be organised across the Capital to celebrate the occasion. Like in previous years, Aadharshila Vidyapeeth is organising an on-the-spot painting competition for students up to Class XII at Pitampura to celebrate the occasion.
In a special message sent to the children participating in the painting competition, Mr. Vajpayee said: “It is important to inculcate creativity in children. Children must feel that their work is being acknowledged. Such competitions help children express their hidden talent and make them more confident.”
A blood donation camp will also be organised at Chandni Chowk on Tuesday.
