KANNUR: Five fishermen were rescued after their boat capsized seven nautical miles (about 13 km) from here early on Tuesday morning. Their fishing craft, laden with catch, was on its way from Kochi when it hit a fishing boat from Ayikkara anchored off the coast. The five fishermen were rescued by those on the other boat. The rescued fishermen are Thankakuttan, Bhagyaratnan, Rajendran, Sasi and Podimon. — Staff Reporter
