Transfers suspended

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister for Local Self-Government Institutions Paloli Mohamed Kutty has ordered the suspension of the transfer of employees of the Panchayat, Urban Affairs and Rural Development departments till March 31, 2008, as apart of the move to tone up Plan implementation.

The Minister said that the restriction was being imposed on the basis of a decision taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan.

He added that the general transfers as per norms would be done in these departments only in April.

Long leave and deputation too would not be allowed till March 31, 2008.
