Probe into failure to protect Endowments land in Chennai

HYDERABAD: Recovery of over 400 acres of high-value lands belonging to the Endowments Department in Chennai remains elusive even two years after a high-level delegation led by Revenue Minister D. Prasada Rao received a categorical assurance from the Tamil Nadu Government to hand it over to Andhra Pradesh.

Official apathy seems to be the cause for this delay. Enquiries with the State Government revealed that the officials concerned had not launched follow-up action so far over the assurance given by the Tamil Nadu Minister for Local Administration M. K. Stalin.
