LTTE woes

The edit page article ‘Examining a post-Prabakaran scenario’ (Dec. 25) made interesting reading. The last sentence, “a solution could only be found within the framework of a united Sri Lanka” summed it all. Had this been realised by the rebels long ago, peace would be reigning in Sri Lanka.

You have also rightly stated that “Prabakaran has built a dictatorial organisation.” There is now the possibility of a near-vacuum developing in the LTTE’s top leadership after Prabakaran.
