Chennai Open to reach wider audience

CHENNAI: The Chennai Open will now reach a much wider audience worldwide. The 2008 edition, to be held from December 31 to January 6, will be telecast through 16 top international TV channels and reach more than one billion households across 140 countries.

The network, also involving Zee Sports, will telecast the action live every day and put India firmly on the global tennis map.

Fernando Soler, Tournament Director, said, “We are delighted that we will reach a wider audience worldwide this year. The tremendous response and support that we receive from our partners indicates that the tournament is growing.” — Special Correspondent
