Murder attempt accused acquitted
New Delhi: A complainant’s volte face in court here has led to the acquittal of a 32-year-old-man who was accused of attempting to murder him.
The complainant, who suffered stab injuries in the incident, failed to identify the accused in court and gave him a clean chit.
“From the perusal of the record, it is reflected that Liyaqat Ali, who is the complainant (injured) has not deposed anything against the accused, Mahender, and has given clean chit to him,” Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Pratibha Rani observed.
