A fire mishap victim showing the burnt utensils to three Ministers at Pichikulagunta in Guntur on Tuesday GUNTUR: Ministers Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, Murugudu Hanumantha Rao and Kasu Venkata Krishna Reddy called on the victims of fire mishap at Rajiv Gandhi Colony in Pichikulagunta on Tuesday assuring them of all possible help and permanent houses. The local MLA T. Venkata Rao accompanied the Ministers during their visit to the slum on Tuesday afternoon and distributed 10 kg of rice to each of the family that lost its house to the fire and promised to get a pucca house constructed to all of them on the same land. The Ministers said that they would put the proposal before the State Cabinet and get approval for allotment of land to the colony for construction of the houses with all basic amenities like water, drains and wide roads. The land belongs to VUDA and had to be transferred to GMC or to the victims for taking up any housing project. Mayor Kanna Nagaraju, Municipal Commissioner Siddhartha Jain, Tadikonda MLA Dokka Manikya Varaprasad Rao, MLC Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and Market Yard Chairman Lella Appi Reddy accompanied the ministers and promised all possible help in rehabilitating them.
