Four children drown in two incidents

SALEM: Four children drowned in two incidents in Salem and Namakkal districts on Monday.

In Salem district, Sridharan (12) and Dinesh (10) of Valluvar Nagar in Rangampalayam drowned while they were bathing in a tank. Residents retrieved the bodies.

In another incident in Namakkal district, Gomathi (7) and her brother Dinesh (4) of Akkalampatti accidentally fell into the stagnating water in a stone quarry and drowned.
