Govt. urged to check overloading

NEW DELHI: The Indian Foundation of Transport Research and Training (IFTRT) has urged the Delhi Government to ensure better enforcement of anti-overloading provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and strict vigilance in issuance of Pollution Under Check (PUC) certificates to check air pollution in the Capital.

Reacting to the Government’s decision to impose an environment cess of 25 paise per litre on diesel to check air pollution, the Foundation said it would hardly have any impact.
