Journalists’ meet

BANGALORE: The Karnataka Union of Working Journalists and the Indian Federation of Working Journalists will hold a two-day national council meet from January 1.
H.B. Madan Gowda, chairman of the Reception Committee, told presspersons here on Tuesday that the 63rd meet, aimed at organising journalists, would be held at Srikshetra Adichunchanagiri in Tumkur district.
He said Balagangadharanatha Swamiji of the Adichunchanagiri Math would inaugurate the meeting and K.H. Muniyappa, Union Minister of State for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways, would release a souvenir. Shivakumara Kanasogi, senior reporter, Prajavani, will present a paper at the seminar on “Media and human rights” on the first day of the meet.
