Aluminium worth Rs. 2 lakh recovered

Bangalore: Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials here on Tuesday arrested seven persons and recovered about Rs. 2 lakh worth of aluminium stolen from railway bogies.
According to the police, the main accused — Imran Khan (19) from Tannery Road, Gajendra (24) from Shimoga, and Shashi Nair (28) from Alleppey, Kerala, used to steal aluminium and supply it to Ratnavelu, Ratnam, Periaswamy and Mahadesh, all aged between 20 and 28 years from Tamil Nadu. According to RPF officials, the accused, using cutting pliers and screw drivers, used to remove aluminium materials from seats and berths in emoty air-conditioned and sleeper bogies.
