VSNL sells 10 p.c. equity in VSNL Lanka

CHENNAI: Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (VSNL) has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that it has sold 15.18 lakh shares representing 10 per cent of the paid up capital in its wholly-owned subsidiary VSNL Lanka Ltd. The shares have been acquired by Sunshine Holdings PLC, a Sri Lankan conglomerate for about Sri Lankan Rs. 75 million (Indian Rs. 2.70 crore). — Corporate Reporter
