Exhibition of news photographs

Kochi: Portfolio-2008, an exhibition of news photographs organised by the Kochi Photojournalists’ Forum, will be held here from December 28 to January 1.

The former Chief Minister K. Karunakaran will officially inaugurate the exhibition on December 29. Kerala Press Academy chairman Thomas Jacob will deliver the keynote address, Jackson Arattukulam, convener of the forum, said. Select pictures of 36 news photographers will be displayed at the Durbar Hall Art Gallery. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

He said a visual presentation would be made by the news photographers and the channel cameramen. A class on visual photography would be held at 1.30 p.m. on December 29. Those interested in digital photography can attend the class.
