Special Correspondent

Playtime: Game in progress in Pudukottai

PUDUKOTTAI: It was a day of fun and frolic for students of Government School for Hearing and Speech Impaired in the district.

The special children and their teachers, on an invitation, visited Mount Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School recently. It is an annual tradition of Mount Zion School to host the children as part of their ‘Children to Children’ programme.

Students of the Government School were engaged throughout the day by the class XI students of the host school. Games such as balloon stuffing, basketball, bucket ball, ball tapping and dumb-bell gathering were conducted and the visitors took active participation in them.

The winners were given special prizes and special gifts by Senior Principal of Mount Zion School Jonathan Preeth. Headmistress Florence Jayabarathan said the school transportation could be availed free of cost by students of the special school for field trips and educational tours.
