Sugarcane farmers stage dharna

VIZIANAGARAM: A number of sugarcane growers led by CPI (M) on Wednesday staged a dharna in front of NCS Sugars Limited (formerly Nizam Sugars) at Latchaiahpeta demanding payment of arrears. On Tuesday, the TDP submitted a memorandum to factory Chief Engineer Anjaneyulu demanding the same besides seeking remunerative price. S.V.Ch. Appala Naidu, former TDP MLA from Bobbili, threatened to launch an agitation. —Correspondent
