Facelift for Raj Bhavan

HYDERABAD: The Raj Bhavan will soon get a face lift and will also have new buildings and apartments.

Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, at a review meeting here on Wednesday, accepted the proposals to renovate the Raj Bhavan. According to these proposals, a complex will be constructed in the Raj Bhavan compound with five two-bedroom apartments to serve as the officers’ quarters. Besides, eight single-room quarters will be built for the drivers.

The Raj Bhavan guesthouse is also proposed to be extended and another floor built for VIPs after obtaining security clearances from the agencies concerned. The Finance Department has been asked to sanctioned the required funds.
