Revenue Minister issues warning to officials
Special Correspondent
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Revenue K.P.Rajendran has warned of action against the officials who had served notices as part of attachment of property to people in the tsunami affected places.
The Minister said after offering floral tributes at the Tsunami Smrithi Mandapam at Alappad on the third anniversary of the disaster on Wednesday that it was against the government’s decision to suspend all types of attachment measures in the tsunami affected areas.
He stated that the government was conducting a detailed examination into the question of writing off the debt of the affected people. He described as deplorable the issue of notices at such a juncture.
