Centre seeks report from Orissa

NEW DELHI: The Centre has sought a detailed report from Orissa government on the incidents in the State where mobs targeted 15 churches and destroyed property in Christian educational institutions.

The Home Ministry has asked the State government to furnish a detailed report to it on the incidents and steps taken to control the violence. A spokesman said the Ministry had earlier issued advisory to other States to maintain communal harmony.
