‘Walking stick’ stolen

BERHAMPUR: The walking stick in the hand of the statue of Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati at Parlakhemundi in Gajapati district was stolen by some miscreants. Incidentally, the administration is organising a district-level cultural festival called ‘Gajapati Mahotsav’ in the grounds facing the mutilated statue of this great leader who had played a major role in the formation of modern Orissa State.
