AIADMK plans stir in Tiruvarur
CHENNAI: The All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has complained that the administration is lax in providing relief to the flood-hit people in Tiruvarur district. Announcing a demonstration to be organised by the party in Tiruvarur town on Friday, party general secretary Jayalalithaa said the stir was also to urge the Centre to give a minimum support price of Rs.1,000 a quintal for paddy. Durai Govindarajan, secretary of the party’s agricultural wing, will lead the protest. — Special Correspondent
