28 pilgrims injured in accident
PATHANAMTHITTA: Twenty-eight pilgrims from Chennai were injured, three of them seriously, when a bus overturned at Laha on the Mannarakulanji -Pampa Main Trunk Road to Sabarimala on Tuesday. According to the police, the pilgrims were on their return journey from Sabarimala. Kamalammal, 65; Venkitesh, 36; and Prabha, 23 were seriously injured and admitted to the Sabarimala Ward of the General Hospital at Pathanamthitta. They were later referred to the Medical College Hospital at Kottayam. The others were undergoing treatment at the General Hospital and their condition was stable, said Duty Medical Officer. — Staff Reporter
